Sea Farm Estate
Sea Farm Estate called for an integrated response to its extraordinary setting, where the Hangklip Mountains meet the ocean horizon. The architecture nestles into the landscape, remaining humble against the scale and drama of its surroundings.
Low, grounded forms anchor the home to the terrain, allowing the built elements to feel embedded rather than imposed. A defensive wall protects the house from the prevailing south-easterly winds, creating sheltered, intimate social spaces within.
Inside, living areas are conceived as protected retreats — calm and inwardly focused — while maintaining a continuous connection to the coastal landscape beyond. The result is a dwelling shaped as much by climate and topography as by architecture.
