An integrated approach to the surrounding area: the built elements are nestled into the landscape defined by the Hangklipmountains and ocean vista. Connection to this is maintained by keeping the architecture humble to its environment. Inside the house, private social spaces are sheltered and intimate. A defensive wall shields the house from the strong south-easterly wind.
